  • Personal and Context-Based: I believe in the power of you, in your classroom, through your lived experiences. The Mathematizer Community is tailored to your unique context, ensuring it's relevant and immediately applicable.
  • Responsive and Just in Time: Say goodbye to generic, one-size-fits-all sessions. This community is designed to meet your needs exactly when you need it, providing solutions precisely when challenges arise.
  • Not a Stand and Deliver: I'm not here to overload you with a million tips in a single session. My approach focuses on meaningful learning experiences that go beyond information delivery.
  • Learning Together: I value the journey of learning together, with curiosity as our driving force. In our community, you'll find companions who explore new understandings, side by side with you.
  • Pedagogical Companions: Our community offers pedagogical companions who invite self-reflection and intentional action, guiding you towards meaningful growth.

What it is not:

  • One-Size-Fits-All: Mathematizer Community is not a one-size-fits-all professional development platform. We don't do generic, stand-and-deliver sessions. Your learning experience is tailored to your context.
  • Overwhelming: We won't overwhelm you with a million tips in a single session. Our approach focuses on quality learning experiences that go beyond information delivery.
  • Isolation: This is not a place for isolation. We are a collaborative community, and you'll find companions who explore new understandings side by side with you. We believe in the power of learning together.
  • Static: Mathematizer Community is not a static platform. It's a dynamic space where we adapt to your evolving needs and challenges. It is not a place to collect one-off lesson ideas, worksheets, or tasks. Your growth is our priority.

How will the monthly calls be structured?

  • On each call, we will be talking about our successes and favourite math moments from the past month. What are you most proud of in your math classroom? What did you dive into that went really well?
  • Next, we'll share out some learning intentions for the upcoming month. What do you hope for, in your math class? What learning will you focus on
  • Lastly, we'll share our some math wonders, suggestions and resources for one another in a collaborative community conversation.
